MHA Care is a not-for-profit organisation providing high quality home and community care services across the Moira Shire and surrounding districts in both VIC and NSW.
What Services do we provide?
MHA Care provides a range of services to support frail older people, people with a disability and their carers. Our services are there to support and help you to continue to live at home and in your community.
The Home and Community Care services that MHA Care provides include:
- Home Care
- Personal Care
- Respite Care
- Meals on Wheels
- Planned Activity Groups
- Swimming Program
- Home and Property Maintenance
MHA Care also operates the Yarrawonga Community Opportunity Shop and Moira Foodshare Program.
What area does MHA Care service?
MHA Care provides services across the Moira Shire. We have dedicated teams of Community Care Workers that service Cobram, Nathalia, Numurkah, Yarrawonga and other rural locations within the Shire.

Who is Eligible?
Anyone can access services from MHA Care.
Government subsidised Services are available to persons who are:
- Frail / Aged
- Younger people with a disability; and
- Their Carers
A qualified Assessment Officer will complete an in home assessment to determine your eligibility and individual service needs.
Can I choose Private Services?
Yes, you can choose private services.
There is no waiting list for private services, and you will not require a formal assessment.
Private Customers may choose to purchase any of the services that MHA Care Offer on a one off, short term or on a regular ongoing basis.
How much do services cost?

Is a referral required?
You can self refer to MHA Care or have someone else such as a family member, doctor or case manager refer you.

What Personal Information is needed?
We are required to collect a customer's details and health information, however the content, collection, storage, use and disclosure of this information is all subject to strict provisions under the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988; the Victorian Information Privacy Act 2000 and the Health Records Act 2001 legislation.
As a customer you will also be requested to give your written/verbal consent should your information need to be shared with other service providers or in order for us to refer you to another agency or service.
Can you provide Interpreter Services?
Interpreter services can be organised. Please let MHA Care know if this service is required.
